NEW YORK (March 14, 2007) – eHealth Solutions today announced that Lisa Wickens, Assistant Director of the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Office of Health Systems Management, will be the company’s new Vice President of Health Policy Initiatives.

Wickens has been with the NYSDOH since 1999 and was named to her most recent position in 2002.  She has extensive experience in nursing home care, both within and outside of the NYSDOH. She was responsible for administering and leading the surveillance process for all health care delivery programs, which included long term care, acute care, and community based programs in the state. Before joining NYSDOH, Wickens – a registered nurse - held many positions within the Albany County Nursing Home during her 14-year tenure.

“We are thrilled that Lisa is joining the eHealth Solutions team,” said Steve Pacicco, CEO of eHealth Solutions.  “Through her experience at the Department of Health and as a clinician, Lisa truly understands the impact an electronic medical record can have on nursing home operations and resident care.  She will bring tremendous value not only to the Company, but our customers as well.”

As the new Vice President of Health Policy Initiatives, Wickens will identify emerging trends in long term care and communicate to key constituency groups in the public and private sectors the benefits of an electronic medical records (EMR) system.  Additionally, she will work closely with nursing homes using SigmaCare, eHealth Solutions mobile EMR system, to help them improve their clinical, financial and regulatory outcomes.

“I am so looking forward to my new position, primarily because SigmaCare will have such a positive influence on residents as well as those who care for them,” Wickens said.  “Having spent much of my career looking at ways to improve the lives of nursing home residents, this move will allow me to share my experiences as a long term care clinician and a regulator to nursing homes and offer solutions to improve resident outcomes, increase staff time with each resident and ultimately increase the nursing home direct care worker's job satisfaction."

eHealth Solutions, Inc. develops and markets innovative mobile, point-of-care solutions for long term care nursing homes (SigmaCare) that enable physicians and other medical professionals to improve treatment outcomes, avert preventable medication errors, and significantly reduce administrative burdens.  For more information, please visit www.ehealthsolutions.com.
